Test Cards

Overview:

This article is intended to be a guide highlighting the new features and changes to the Test Cards in addition to providing insight into the different options available as well as their components and functionality in ESGI.

Table of Contents:

Features of All Test Cards:

  • Font sizes have increased and are bolder now.
    • Larger text titles (Hover over longer test titles to see the full test name.)
    • Larger text for the percentage metric, as well as for ratio scores or raw score data
    • The color used as the background for the test title aligns with the color assigned to each test.
      • The text and the color background have high contrast to meet accessibility standards.
    • Larger pie charts, circle graphs, and rubric icons
    • New bar on right side of the Class and Group views which indicates how many students have been administered this test in selected class or group
      • Hovering over the icon will give you the “X/Y students have been tested” monitoring bar.
      • Session Details can be accessed on the homepage by clicking on the clock and bars icon to the right of the ... icon in the bottom left corner of the small, medium, and large Test Cards, and the upper right corner of the x-large, expanded Test Cards.
        • You can use this to look for, edit, duplicate, or delete an existing test session as well as to run a subset, add item-specific notes and summary notes, or download the session.
        • To manually add a session, you will have to go to the Test Dashboard by clicking on the Test Card.
          • More actions can be accessed by clicking on the 3 dots icon located at the bottom left of the small, medium, and large Test Card views and the upper right corner of the x-large, expanded Test Card. Doing so gives you the options to:
            • Move the test to a different tab (if you have the right permissions)
            • Remove the test from a tab
            • View the test (opens the test details modal on top of the homepage)
              • You can access the Test Dashboard by clicking on any of the test cards.

              Single Student Selection:

              • When you select a single student, the student’s name will be displayed at the top.
              • Clicking the student’s name opens their profile.
              • You can test the selected student by clicking on the “Test” button located on the bottom-right of each test card.
              • Self-Assess tests can be launched by clicking on the self-assess icon (which will no longer be grayed out).

              Filtering the Test Cards

              • You can filter which test cards are displayed by clicking on their corresponding Test Type button located above the top row of test cards.
                • The Test Types include:
                  • All (default)
                  • Yes/No
                  • Rubric
                  • Single Score
                      • You can also filter by whether a test has been taken by clicking on the dropdown menu located next to the Test Type filter buttons.
                        • The options here include:
                          • Any (default)
                          • Yes
                          • No
                        • This filter is especially helpful for trying to see if there are any tests which a student hasn’t taken yet.

                              Sorting the Test Cards:

                              • You can sort the order of the Test Cards by clicking on the Sort By dropdown menu located next to the different view icons.
                                • The Sort By options include:
                                  • Default
                                  • Test Name
                                  • Last Tested

                                          Rearranging the Test Cards

                                          • You can manually reorder the Test Cards by clicking on the Reorder Tests button located at the top right of the screen next to the + symbol.
                                          • After you hit the reorder button, you will see a number indicator and crosshairs indicating that these test cards are ready to be moved.
                                          • From here, click anywhere on a Test Card and drag it to move its position and arrange it in any way that you would like.
                                          • Once you have finished moving all the Test Cards to your desired order, click on the Save button located at the bottom right corner of the screen.
