School Year Transitions

Overview

ESGI organizes test data by school year, which helps keep data distinct for each grade level. Each year, new school years are added to accounts over the Memorial Day weekend, automatically transferring all Subject Tabs and Tests from the previous year. From Memorial Day until mid-July, you have the flexibility to switch between school years for end-of-year assessments and updates.

However, it's important to make any necessary changes in the tab for the new school year. After mid-July, accounts will automatically set to the new school year, and testing for the previous year will no longer be available.

How to Change your School Year

  1. Click the “year” drop-down arrow at the top left of the screen (Image 1).
  2. Select the desired school year in the dropdown list.
  3. The School Year will display and any Subject Tabs and Test.

Note: If you have used ESGI for more than one school year, data from the previous school year(s) can be accessed. The school year you selected will remain when you log back in. Be sure to change it back to the current school year to assess students.
