How to Translate Parent Letter Templates without AI

Overview:

If using our AI Parent Letter Translator is not an option for your district or school, you can still create your default parent letter and save it in your students' preferred language.

When you're ready to print the parent letter, the bulk printing option won't be available if you're printing in languages other than English. The “Default” language will always be English and must be changed for each student who has a different language indicated in their profile. The default language should be changed before printing the letter.

Note: Any language default templates created before this update will migrate into the new Parent Letter update. After you manually add your default parent letter in your preferred language, you will need to change the “Default” English template to the student's selected language.

Options for printing the Parent letter:

By Group
To run the parent letter by group instead of selecting each student individually, you can create groups of students based on their preferred language.

1. On your Teacher Homepage, select the + to Create a Group

2. Name each group title after the name of the students’ preferred language. (ex: Spanish Students, Chinese Students, English Students)

3. Add your students to the Group that speaks the listed language

4. Select Report, Parent Letter

5. Select your first group and set the “Default” language to match that group's language.

6. Select the run report option and preview the report.

7. Select each student to view their message and verify that all test data is accurate.

8. Download the report in either Word or PDF
