How to Find ESGI Benchmarks in Test Explorer

Locate the ESGI Benchmark series in Test Explorer, so you can assign them to your class.

Note: This article is only for teachers in districts that aren't using ESGI Benchmarks district-wide. In those cases, teachers may choose to assign benchmarks to their class independently

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Log in and open Test Explorer 

  1. Sign in to your ESGI teacher account. 
  2. From your dashboard, click Test Explorer. 

2. Locate the B.O.Y. Benchmark series for your grade 

  1. In Test Explorer, in the left hand navigation bar choose “Filter by Series”.   
  2. In the selection bar that pops up on the right, scroll down and choose “ESGI Benchmarks” for the grade level you want to test – Pre-K, K, 1st or 2nd Grade. 
  3. If you want to assign Beginning, Middle, or End of Year benchmarks, use the search bar to filter for the appropriate tests: 
  4. Search for the specific benchmark you’re looking for – e.g. if you’d like to use Beginning of Year benchmarks, type “B.O.Y” in the search bar 
  5. In the search results you’ll see the Benchmark sub-tests for the appropriate testing window at the top. 

3. Choose the Benchmarks you want to assign and assign them in the same way you assign any other test in test explorer.
