Dropdowns
Overview:
Dropdowns allow you to determine who and what to test in ESGI. To select students, classes, groups, and subject tabs in ESGI, utilize the two dropdowns located in the top left corner for your homepage.
Teachers Class List Dropdown
At the top of the Homepage, you will see the ESGI Teachers Class dropdown located next to the Subject Tabs dropdown (see Image 1). Click on the Class list dropdown to access a comprehensive view of your students, classes, and groups. In this view you can navigate between students, classes and groups. You can add students to either group, classes or students. If this is your first time adding students, please refer to our help link.
- When you select a student, class, or teacher name, it will load test cards on the homepage automatically for whomever you have chosen.
- If you haven't selected a specific student, the dropdown will show the name of the class or group. To access the test data for an individual student, simply click on their name. The screen will update to display the student’s name prominently at the top of the page, along with a list of their completed and pending tests.
- To edit a student profile, click the profile icon to the right of the student’s name, make changes, and save your work.
- If you'd prefer not to keep selecting the dropdown menu to access your class list, you have the option to pin your classes, groups, or students. This will allow you to maintain a constant view of your class on the screen. When you're done, simply unpin your selection to return to the full view of test cards.
Subject Tab Dropdown
The Subject Tab dropdown works very similarly to the class list dropdown. When selected it will display all your active Subject Tabs. If you have District or School Subject Tabs you can navigate between those tabs as well as your Personal Subject Tabs.
- By default, you can see Subject Tabs at the top of your homepage. By selecting the Show Subject Tab Favorites Panel checkbox at the bottom of the panel (see Image 1), you may select to enable or disable the ability to see Subject Tabs at the top of your homepage as quick-select cards.

- When enabled, all District and School tabs will be displayed by default (see Image 2).

- All Personal tabs which have been favorited by selecting the star icon to the right of the Subject Tab name will be displayed in the order you have set (see Image 2).

To explore various Subject Tabs, you can either:

Select the dropdown then click the pin icon located at the top of the dropdown menu. This action will keep the dropdown open, allowing you to easily switch between the District, School (if available), and Personal Tabs (see Image 1).
- Ensure the Show Subject Tab Favorites Panel is enabled and make selections directly from your homepage’s quick-select cards (see Image 1).

- Click on the Subject Tab Name to access the complete list of tests in that tab. Once the tests are finished, data will be available for you to view.
- It is possible to have both dropdowns pinned simultaneously (see Image 1), allowing you to easily access and manage them side by side. This feature enhances your workflow by ensuring that both entities remain visible and readily available, eliminating the need to switch between different views or tabs. By pinning both entities, you can streamline your tasks and improve your overall efficiency.
