Auto Test Creator

Overview

Quickly create a test from any list you have saved on your computer using the Auto Test Creator. Any type of list such as sight words, math computation, vocabulary, or observation can be added easily.

Opening Auto Test Creator 

1. From the left navigation panel, click the Test Explorer icon. 

2. Click the + icon in the upper right corner of the screen. 

3. Select Auto Test Creator

Creating a Test 

1. Once the Auto Test Creator modal is open, there are several fields which you can fill out on the left side of the modal. From top to bottom, those fields are: 

  • Test Topic – If a premade test topic is selected from the list, Test Name, Description, Directions, and Content Area will automatically populate. These fields are also editable. 
  • Test Name – Enter a unique test name. 
  • Description – Describe your test. 
  • Directions – Directions entered for the teacher/administrator will display for every question within the test. 
  • Content Area – Select the content area alignment for the test, and change the test card color if desired. 
  • Grade – Select any grade(s) for which the test is aligned. 
  • Font – Select the default font for each question. 
  • Share Test – Click this box if you’d like to share the test with your District Administrator. 

2. Once you have completed the required fields (Test Name and Description), you may begin to add questions to your test by entering and/or copying and pasting the question content in the Question field.

3. Click the + icon to the right of the Question field to add the question. 

4. Once you have added the number of questions you’d like, you have the option to quickly make test edits, including (Image 1): 

  • Randomize – Randomly shuffles questions
  •  Reorder Questions – Select the icon in the Drag column to reorder your questions.
  •  Delete Questions – Click the X icon to delete a specific question. 
  • View Thumbnails of Questions – Click the Thumbnail View button to view a preview of the test questions you have created. 

i. From the Thumbnail View modal, you can select the icon for any question to:

a. Advanced Edit Selecting this option opens the Edit Question modal, allowing you to change several question additional question elements. 

b. Delete – Delete an individual question.

c. Set as thumbnail – Selecting this option sets the question as the thumbnail image for the test in Test Explorer.

Click Save to exit the Thumbnail View modal once you are finished making additional edits.

5. Once your test meets your needs, select Save and Close in the bottom right corner. 

6. Select a Subject Tab for which you’d like to add the test. Click Confirm Subject Tab button when done. 

Note: You may also create a new Subject Tab or choose to add the test to a Subject Tab later by selecting Add Later.
